A queer culture festival is held in Korea every year. The queer culture festival divided by a lot of sections has been proceeded from 2000; A parade, a panel discussion, a dance party, an exhibition. The queer culture festival can almost by called as a unique Queer community public event in Korea. Of course, it is true that a lot of LGBT cannot participate in it because of the various limits that Korean society has. It is difficult to expose oneself before the random public due to the insufficiency of institutional policies that could ensure safety from hate crimes and discrimination against homosexuality.
